April 1: Garrett Lemire Memorial Grand Prix

Ivan Dominguez scored Toyota-United's 10th win of the season Sunday when he passed Russell Downing (Health Net presented by Maxxis) in the final stretch of the Garrett Lemire Memorial Grand Prix in Ojai, Calif.

Dominguez received an extraordinary last-lap leadout from teammates Caleb Manion and Sean Sullivan, but still had to close the gap on Downing to secure his seventh victory and third win at a National Race Calendar event.

Ivan Dominguez had time to celebrate the win ? his second of the weekend and seventh of the season.  Caleb Manion was a workhorse throughout Sunday?s race, helping chase down more than one breakaway attempt.

Sean Sullivan gets a hand-up from teammate Heath Blackgrove, who  is still recovering from injury.  Sullivan covered a number of moves himself during the 55-lap race.

Henk Vogels rode strongly, despite missing some training days last week while traveling to and from Australia.  Vogels slipped off the front with two other riders with 10 laps to go. But their move was broke back with three laps remaining.

The Toyota-United train lined up for its last-lap charge with Manion on the front and Vogels feeling it from his breakaway effort.  Dominguez on the top step of the podium ? in what is quickly becoming a common sight this year.
