Tour of Elk Grove
The final stage race on the National Race Calendar shaped up to be a competitive one, with a prologue time trial and two criteriums. With the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team in the thick of a tight battle for the lead in the NRC team standings, it was important for the squad?s six riders to perform well.

Chris Wherry?s seventh-place finish in the opening time trial was only 12 seconds off the winning time. |
In the final stage, Toyota-United took the front with seven miles to go and set up sprinter Ivan Dominguez. |
