Toyota-United?s Heath Blackgrove concentrates on what is certain to be a hard effort over the next 30-or-so minutes. Defending Cascade Cycling Classic champion Chris Wherry awaits his turn to go. He would be one of five Toyota-United riders to place in the top 25.

Burke Swindlehurst was hoping a good performance would move him back in the top 10. And it did. He climbed from 14th to 10th with a 12th place finish.  Ivan Dominguez enjoys the shade of the start house before beginning his effort under a blazing sun.

The last rider to start, Chris Baldwin begins his 15-mile race against the clock.  The comfy confines of the Toyota-United bus kept the team cool and out of the sun before and after the time trial.
